ALVAREZ, but outpatient surgery scheduling is important It takes a certain type of attitude, attention, and servant leadership to assist people during a period of uncertainty. The gentleman that "assisted" me with my scheduling was NO ASSISTANCE, provided the procedure location 2 hours before the appointment, I never received the details he said that was on 4:07 pm on a FRIDAY. "Well making appointments could be easier. The phone system leaves a lot to be desired. I was happy Dr Johnson saw me personally. PAs are helpful but I asked for help 4 months ago. Still struggling with a cranky gut. The MIRALAX worked at first but then I had the total runs for 3 days. Now total constipation. I'm glad to be reassured I don't have cancer but if I die from a reaction to med. I'm just as dead. See you on Tues. And maybe we can figure out how I can poop and have pain relief. Be nice if it could happen."
"I have been a patient of Dr. Ramirez for over 30 years and she is one of the best doctors. She genuinely cares about her patients. She is never rushed and takes time to listen to your concerns. The only issue I have is with her medical staff. During my last visit they failed to schedule my 6 month following up, they only called in one of the two prescriptions needed and I have been trying to get them to submit a prior-authorization form. I have called three different times and I’m still waiting. This seems to be a constant issue. What’s even more frustrating is that Dr. Ramirez spoke directly to the medical assistant after seeing me and told her exactly what was needed and it still wasn’t taken care of properly."

"I was taken into a room soon after signing in for my procedure and treated by a kind and caring staff who explained very well details of the procedure. After saying I understood, I was soon put on a rolling clean bed and taken to a pre preparation room where my vitals and an IV was put in. The outstanding staff of nurses explained the procedure again to me.. Then after undressing and putting on the procedure gowns I was taken to the procedure room to be sedated. Then Dr. Johnson came in to re assure me that I will be fine and told me what he was going to do. Then the sedative Dr. put me to sleep and all I remember is the nurse waking me up after the colonoscopy procedure was done and rolled me on the bed back to the pre procedure room. Gave me and my wife a very well procedure report and some details of what Dr. Johnson found and did. And instructed me when I was to return for a follow up appointment with Dr. Johnson. Then after getting dressed I was kindly wheelchair led to the entrance where we awaited for my wife to bring our car around to pick me up. Then at my follow up appointment Dr. Johnson was kind and courteous and professional in explaining his findings and the results of lab tests and gave me some good advise on how to keep from getting cancer. I find that they all treated me with caring, compassionate and professional medical care. And I have no ill effect after the procedure. Thank you Dr. Johnson and your entire staff for your courtesy and professional treatment."
"Been trying to get my procedure for 3 years. VA who told me I need to get, keep putting off. Medicare would send out request but then procedure would get cancelled. Dr Franklin took 30 min appt then scheduled and executed procedure the same week. Since I left the military, I have never had a more caring, talented, patient orientated Doctor and Team. My family is gone and my friends are dead so I was punished. Only by way of the humanity in my supervisor was I able to receive care cuz he got me home. If a bar can send a drunk home in a cab why not me? I guess your "liability" is more important than my life?! If I would have had cancer id have been denied the opportunity to find out because I didn't have anyone to sign for me! "I want to give a shout out to Dr. Flores and the stuff members to the gastro clinic located on medical center. I went in for a colonoscopy today. I have more than excellent experience. I have a lot of doubts if I want to have the procedure or not, I finally decided to go for it. I was treating with a lot of respect and kindness since the first appointment. I was very nervous about the sedation but once the nurse explained me everything I was so calm and ready. Dr. Flores and the anesthesiologist asked me if I have any questions, I say no , they put the sedation I past out and woke up in no time and they were done!!! Dr. Flores came in and explain me the results and I was ready to go home. Just like that!!! Sorry for the long review but I want to encourage people to have the colonoscopy if you need it or as part of prevention. Is a very easy and almost 0 side effects, also is 100 % cover by most health insurance. Thank you Dr. Flores and all stuff members"
