Michael Lindner, M.D. was surrounded by doctors as a young person. Many of his relatives and family friends were doctors. As a result, it was only natural that when it came time to choose a career, he chose medicine. Not only was he familiar with the profession but it was the combination of the two things he loved most: people and science.
Dr. Linderner completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He then went on to complete an internship as well as a residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. Afterward, he accepted a Fellowship in Gastro at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. This is where he discovered his true calling. He says, “I chose my field because I wanted to specialize, but I also wanted to be intellectually stimulated and highly involved in diagnostics. Gastro is a very diverse subspecialty that is challenging in so many exciting ways.”.
